Associations

WW Clyde has forged strong partnerships with leading associations and innovators in the construction field, including being an active participant in the Asssociated General Contractors of America. With involvement in major industry associations and key government and municipal agencies, we are positioned to accelerate our partners’ business and drive value for our clients across all lanes of construction.

WW Clyde employees are also actively involved in local Chamber of Commerces. These organizations help advocate for legislation directly tied to businesses.

Educational Partners

Investing in local education is one way that we fulfill our mission of building a better community. Our partnerships with school districts, local universities, and trade schools offer valuable opportunities for the community, including: course instruction, safety education, job exploration, job shadowing, internships, apprenticeships, and employment. At UVU, we provide instruction, funding, and support for the University’s Clyde Institution of Construction Management. Our history with BYU goes all the way back to when the original engineering building was named the Clyde Engineering Building after our founder, W.W. Clyde. We are also a proud sponsor of the College of Engineering at the University of Utah through scholarships, internships, and employment opportunities for students.

In addition to donations and sponsorships of Junior Achievement and the Utah Diesel Tech Pathways, WW Clyde employees serve on educational boards and committees. We are also involved with the Pathways to Professions program to better partner educational institutions and industries to students with jobs while showcasing the construction industry. We also participate with You Science to find matches of actual interests and skillsets of high school students.

Community Involvement

We are proud to support the communities in which we do business. WW Clyde “gives a full measure” by volunteering for and providing support to causes that benefit our neighborhoods and communities. We also believe that a strong community plays an important role in what we do. We give our time, money, and talents to many community organizations because we care about the communities in which we build and because it’s the right thing to do.

Our employees set a great example, with thousands of hours of service donated annually. These hours are in addition to volunteer assistance while on the job, including car accident assistance, offering water trucks and equipment to remove debris from spills on the highway, and water truck and work crew assistance in containing fires while fire departments are being deployed.

We believe in the alignment of donations to executive priorities and community causes where we currently do business, and in support of key employees, customers, and stakeholders.
