South Davis I-15 Construction

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) recently awarded W.W. Clyde & Co. the I-15; South Davis Operational Improvements Project. This Operational Improvements Project is designed to increase mobility in South Davis County to meet current traffic needs. The following media notice highlighting the official start of this project was originally released by UDOT.

WHEN: Friday, April 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Just east of 500 South on-ramp to north-bound I-15, Bountiful

WHY: UDOT Executive Director Carlos Braceras, Senator Stuart Adams and Representative Brad Dee will announce the project and discuss its benefits to the surrounding community.

 

                        The project will include:

      • Addition of new Express Lanes between I-215 and Farmington;
      • Replacement of the I-15 bridges at 2600 South, 1500 South, 500 South, and 400 North;
      • Reconfiguration of the interchanges at 2600 South and 500 South; and
      • Active transportation improvements, with better pedestrian facilities at 500 South, 400 North and Parrish Lane.

 

VISUALS: Carlos Braceras, Senator Adams and Representative Dee will speak and participate in a ceremonial dig. They will also be available for interviews.
