This project reconstructed the existing roadway by rubblizing the existing PCCP and placing 9-inches of new asphalt. The project also addressed safety features, signing, and drainage.
In addition, fiber optics were placed across the entire length of the project to support Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV), and a Road Weather Information System (RWIS) to monitor the roadway conditions for ice and snow. This provides better mobility for road users.
Construction was completed in November 2014.
