Dustin Olson | President
Dustin brings to W.W. Clyde & Co. an affinity for carrying out projects that surpass expectations. As president of W.W. Clyde & Co., Dustin directs all operational functions of the organization.
His past experience as a field engineer, project manager, operations manager, and most recently vice president of field operations, assist him in his current role. A bachelor's degree in construction management and a subsequent master's degree in business administration also provide him with a valuable skill set that qualifies him to oversee the full operations of the company.
Dustin presently serves as a member of the AGC Highway Safety Committee, AGC Highway Committee, and UAPA Operations Committee.
In his spare time, Dustin enjoys outdoor activities, especially fly fishing and backpacking. He currently resides in Highland, Utah with his wife and four children.
John Thompson | Vice President of Construction
As the vice president of construction for W.W. Clyde & Co., John leads all traditional bid-build work for WWC in the Intermountain West. He has over 20 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry, covering a broad spectrum of pipeline, bridge, crushing, paving, dam, and mining projects, throughout the western United States in both remote and urban environments.
Prior to becoming vice president, John filled the roles of area manager, project manager, project engineer and, field engineer. He graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in agri-business. John is currently involved with the Utah Asphalt Paving Association and Utah AGC.
Aside from work, John enjoys riding horses and exploring Utah’s outdoor recreational opportunities with his wife and 3 daughters. He and resides in Levan, Utah.
Jeff Cochran | Vice President of Preconstruction
In his role as Vice President of Preconstruction, Jeff directly oversees all business development, procurement, and estimates for the company. Throughout his career, he has developed good working relationships with owners, cities, utility owners, stakeholders, and developers. He has extensive experience in construction management, design, and alternative delivery procurement which helps him evaluate, plan, and prepare for upcoming opportunities.
Jeff received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and is a professional engineer in the state of Utah. He is a member of AGC and the Design-Build Institute of America.
James Robertson | Director of Human Resources
James is the director of human resources for W.W. Clyde & Co. James represents the company with the various unions W.W. Clyde & Co. works with to ensure a stable and effective workforce.
Previous to joining W.W. Clyde, James worked for Goodyear where he was a director of talent management for the Latin America region. Having worked in the Human Resources arena for over 15 years, James's experience covers several industries including automotive, medical, manufacturing, and benefits.
James graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Brigham Young University and a master's degree in human resources & industrial relations from the University of Minnesota. He holds certifications as a global professional in human resources and as an assessment coach from the Center for Creative Leadership.
James enjoys gardening, hiking, reading, and attending sporting and community events. He and his wife, Jenny live in Lindon, UT with their four children.
