Vineyard Connector

The project constructed a new roadway through the old Geneva Steel site. Work included demolition of existing concrete foundations, dewatering, subgrade improvement, new roadway, asphalt, bridge embankment, utility relocations, two large MSE Walls, and a new steel girder bridge constructed over UTA and UPRR rail lines.  It was necessary to install a new railroad crossing and new traffic signals.  It included 88K cubic yards of lightweight fill and 100K cubic yards of borrow. Curb, gutter, drainage structures, and pipe on the south edge of the roadway provide storm water run-off drainage.
