The purpose of the Dry Creek Dam and Reservoir Modifications project is to upgrade the Dry Creek Dam to meet current safety regulations and engineering standards and to extend the life of the structure by 50+ years.

This rehabilitation project includes excavation of nearly half of the existing reservoir, construction of a new large spillway, a new berm, a new sediment basin for water runoff, improvements to the drainage system, roadway reconstruction, and construction of a new road with an adjoining parking lot. Major work items include 165,000 CY of excavation, 7,257 CY of reinforced concrete installation, 5,350 CY of HDPE pipe installation, 2 manholes, a hydraulic system, 3 slide gates, and outlet works.

The finished project will also include improved dam safety, it will also add irrigation water storage capacity for Lehi City.
