Dustin Olson
President
As president of W.W. Clyde, Dustin directs all operational functions of the organization. Dustin has an affinity for carrying out projects that surpass expectations, and he is committed to the success of all of W.W. Clyde’s projects.
Dustin has built a career of experience starting as an intern with the company before moving on to roles of field engineer, project manager, operations manager and as vice president of field operations. Dustin has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Brigham Young University. Dustin’s education and career’s experience combine into a unique skill set that qualifies him to oversee the full operations of the company.
In addition, Dustin spends time on the Intermountain Health Board of Trustees. He also serves on the American Road & Transportation Builders Association’s Board of Directors.
Dustin enjoys outdoor activities, especially fly fishing and backpacking. He currently resides in Highland, Utah with his wife and four children.
John Thompson
Senior Vice President of Construction
As the vice president of construction, John leads all construction operations and equipment management in the Intermountain and Southwest divisions. With over 25 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry, he has experience building pipelines, concrete structures, crushing, paving, dams, mining, commercial site work, and design-build transportation projects throughout the western United States.
Previously, John has worked as an area manager, project manager, project engineer, and field engineer. He has a bachelor’s degree in agri-business from Utah State University. John is currently involved with the Utah Chapter of the Associated General Contractors.
John and his wife Brenda have three daughters. They enjoy supporting their daughters competing in youth rodeos throughout Utah. When they are not at a rodeo, they enjoy spending time with family and friends. He resides in Larkspur, CO.
Jeff Cochran
Vice President of Preconstruction
As vice president of preconstruction, Jeff leads procurement efforts within W.W. Clyde, including overseeing estimating, alternative delivery pursuits, and other preconstruction services. Jeff’s strong background in alternative delivery projects has allowed him to develop collaborative and trusted working relationships with owners and clients. Over his 25+ year career, Jeff has had many work opportunities that enable him to strategically lead teams with a process-focused approach.
Jeff is a professional engineer with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Utah. He is active in several organizations within the construction industry, including currently serving as the Highway Committee Chair for the AGC of Utah.
Jeff enjoys golfing, spending time in the mountains, and doing most outdoor activities—especially when he can do them with his family. He and his wife Rachael are parents to four children and reside in Mapleton, Utah.
Travis Wentz
VP, Construction
As a division manager at W.W. Clyde, Travis oversees transportation, water, renewable energy, mining, industrial power civil services, alternative delivery, deep foundations, and shoring/earth retention work in the Intermountain West division.
Bringing with him 20+ years of construction experience, Travis understands well how to effectively lead large teams and operations. He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
Travis and his wife are the parents of four children, three girls and a boy. He and his family currently reside in Plain City, Utah.
Chris Brooks
Director of Human Resources
As the Director of Human Resources, Chris Brooks leads people strategy initiatives that support organizational performance, strengthen company culture, and foster an engaging, high-performing workplace. With more than 10 years of human resources experience, Chris is deeply passionate about employee relations, human strategy, and building cultures where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University and holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. His background spans multiple facets of human resources, including employee relations, full-cycle recruiting and executive talent acquisition, with a strong focus on aligning people practices with business objectives and supporting leaders through complex employee and organizational changes.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys golfing, cheering on BYU and Cleveland sports teams, and spending time with his spouse and two children. He currently resides in Mapleton, Utah.
Celeina Cullum
Senior Director of Project Controls
Celeina Cullum is the Senior Director of Project Controls for W.W. Clyde. Celeina oversees processes and procedures to ensure operational consistency across the organization.
Celeina has 20+ years of experience in the accounting and auditing fields at Clyde Companies. Prior to her role as Senior Director of Project Controls, she was the Director of Internal Controls at Clyde Companies and worked as a controller before that.
She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Internal Auditor, and a member of the Construction Financial Management Association. Celeina has a master’s degree in business administration. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Utah State University.
Celeina loves spending time with her family and resides in Bluffdale, UT with her husband.
Nate Neal
Director of Safety
As the director of safety for W.W. Clyde, Nate leads all safety efforts for W.W. Clyde’s wide range of tough and innovative projects.
Nate has extensive safety experience in various types of construction work such as heavy highway, power generation, vertical construction, pipelines, bridges, mining projects, dam’s, airports, paving operations, tunneling, water and wastewater plants, wind, and solar. Nate has 20 years of experience in the safety industry and has a bachelor’s degree in construction management. Nate also holds a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and is a member of the AGC highway safety committee for Utah.
Nate lives in Genola, Utah with his wife where they enjoy all things outdoors especially horse riding, camping, and running.
David Dean
Southwest Region Manager
As a region manager in the Southwest Region, David coordinates efforts related to earthwork, paving, site utilities, site concrete, and drywells. He is excited about the growth and potential of the area.
David brings 15+ years of experience in the construction industry and has worked in various roles at W.W. Clyde including project manager, estimator, area manager, and vice president of operations.
David graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He and his wife, Jenna, live in Mesa, Arizona, and are the parents of four children. Outside of work, David enjoys playing basketball, golf, camping, and spending time with his family outdoors.
Garrett McMullin
Intermountain Region Manager
Garrett McMullin is the Intermountain Region Manager at W.W. Clyde, bringing over 25 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry. Throughout his career, he has held key positions at W.W. Clyde, including Project Manager and Area Manager. Prior to joining W.W. Clyde, Garrett worked at Jones & DeMille Engineering as a Design Engineer and Project Manager.
Garrett holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Utah State University. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer.
A resident of Lehi, Utah, Garrett enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Tamarie, and their four children. His hobbies include metal fabrication, rock crawling, dirt biking, mountain biking and camping.
