Overall Transportation / Utility Infrastructure Division Project of the Year

Bangerter South Interchanges DB and Bangerter 4700 S. PDB
RLW/CLYDE Joint Venture with Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company

Along Bangerter Highway in the west Salt Lake Valley, multiple signalized intersections at 9800 South, 13400 South, 4700 South and 2700 West were converted into grade separated interchanges. The corridor carries heavy daily traffic and is expected to continue growing in the coming years.

The team kept traffic moving and maintained access for nearby schools, neighborhoods and businesses while building new interchanges and a pedestrian bridge. The completed corridor now moves more consistently and shortens peak commute times for thousands of drivers.

I-15; SR-97 (5600 South) Widening
Sand Ridge Constructors Joint Venture with Granite Construction

At the 5600 South interchange in Roy, the project widened and reconstructed a key I-15 connection to meet long term travel demand. Delivered using progressive design build, the work improved capacity, traffic flow and local access at one of the region’s busiest freeway crossings.

Construction required careful staging and coordination to keep interstate and local traffic moving while major roadway and structure improvements were completed.

The Bangerter South Interchanges project also received additional recognition within the transportation category for its execution and coordination in an active urban environment. The project required close collaboration with UDOT and surrounding communities while maintaining mobility and safety throughout construction.

These awards reflect the type of work W.W. Clyde crews are known for, building complex infrastructure in active corridors. Congratulations to all team members involved.
