Ogden Reservoir

By the early 1930s, W.W. Clyde & Co. was establishing itself as a trusted builder of transportation infrastructure. The Pineview Dam project in Ogden, Utah, started in 1933, expanded the company’s role beyond roads and into critical water infrastructure that served both communities and government partners.

At a time when public investment and coordination were essential, the project highlighted the value of strong relationships with government agencies. Delivering a reservoir was a different type of challenge than many projects the company had taken on before. W.W. Clyde’s ability to adjust to new project requirements demonstrated an evolving flexibility that would become a defining strength.

The Pineview Dam project also marked a shift in scale and scope. It helped establish W.W. Clyde as a partner capable of supporting public needs beyond transportation by contributing to long term water resources.

More than 90 years later, that lesson still holds true. Strong partnerships and a willingness to adapt remain central to how W.W. Clyde approaches every project. The Pineview Dam project stands as an early example of how trust, capability and collaboration helped shape the future of the company.
