This 450MW wind farm was constructed outside of San Angelo, TX. First on the job and the last to leave, Blount’s scope included everything from clearing and grubbing to final site grading and reclamation.

One of the challenges was building 80 miles of aggregate base roadways at an accelerated pace to allow for large component deliveries. This was achieved by working multiple crews across the site which was spread over approximately 55 square miles. The work also included foundation excavation, crushing and screening of rock, and backfill for each turbine location.
